Tim Edgar

Tim Edgar is an Artist and Educator living in Swanage, Dorset. His creative practice uses Drawing and Photography to explore intricate  worlds of nature and science. He has been Photographing the Woods for many years, creating highly detailed images of complex scenarios. Rookery from 2003 responded to the heavy atmosphere beneath a colony of Rooks and their nests. The dark images show details of unsettling rituals, possibly the result of a "parliament" when the colony meets to ostracise one of its members. His recent series of large prints Fallen focuses on trees and branches decaying within a complex ecosystem, and are a metaphor for the wider environmental crisis we face.
